Here is a timeline of how the dental implant procedure usually goes. There are variations, and we will try to make several posts to show you the alternate routes that implant placement sometimes will take.

Extraction Surgery
(If the tooth is still present)
Step 1

If the spot your planning an implant for still has a tooth, then the first step will be an extraction. Depending on how big the tooth root system is, it may be possible to place an implant right away, or it may be necessary to allow healing time. In some cases, it may also require bone grafting in order to properly place an implant in the future.

3D Tomography
CBCT Scan to see how your bone volume and density is prior to placing an implant.
Step 2

Our on site CBCT equipment is used to perform a scan on the area where you would like to have an implant. This study is essential in implant planning to ensure a long lasting implant.

Specialist Procedure
Surgical procedure performed only by specialists.
Step 3

This procedure can be performed following the tomography once we've ensured that your bone volume and density levels are acceptable.
